Club Baseball at the Ohio State University is designed for students who wish to continue their baseball careers, but focus primarily on their education at the Ohio State University.

The time commitment to play club baseball is nowhere near that of the varsity program, but it is still significant. During the fall, tryouts will be held to determine the travel team for the following spring

We currently are members of the National Club Baseball Association’s Great Lakes East Conference. The other members with whom we play our league games are: Wright State, Xavier University, University of Dayton, Ohio University, Miami of Ohio, University of Kentucky, and University of Cincinnati. In the inaugural 2001 season of the NCBA we finished our conference schedule 13-2, winning the league championship and securing a berth in the NCBA World Series in Syracuse, NY at the home of the AAA Syracuse Sky Chiefs. At the World Series we finished the season tied for fifth nationally. In 2002 we finished 3rd in the nation after compiling a 19-3 record and repeating as the Great Lakes Conference champions. Again in 2003 we qualified for the World Series after winning the GLC and placed 5th overall in the country with a 20 and 8 record.

The team has yet to make it back to the World Series since the 2003 season, partially due to the tremendous growth and success of the NCBA.

We expect 2008 to mark the return of OSU Club Baseball to the NCBA World Series.
